Luckily for him, my husband has never asked me this. But I went through the day yesterday and actually thought about what I do all day. Sometimes I get to dinnertime and look around and the house doesn't look a lot different than it did when I got up that morning. Yesterday was Saturday and typically my husband is home, but yesterday he was off doing stuff. So I kind of paid attention to what I do.
Morning: Make coffee, feed the kids, feed myself, get 4 kids dressed and change 2 (and hopefully only 2) diapers, make some I.D. cards (it's a side job of mine), put in a load of laundry, nurse Samantha 2-3 times and load and run the dishwasher.
Afternoon: Make lunch for the kids, put the boys down for naps, eat lunch myself, get Rebekah set up watching a movie or playing and Samantha sleeping in the swing and lay down on my couch to take a short nap myself (ahhhh), dry and fold laundry load, empty dishwasher, nurse Samantha 2-3 more times, handwash bigger dishes and wipe down counters, have kids pick up their toys from living room and vacuum house, and check email.
Evening: Make dinner for the kids, put their pj's on, make the kids warm milk to drink, start Joel and my dinner while Joel gets the kids in bed, nurse Samantha, eat dinner, watch some TV while working on some more ID cards, scrapbook a bit, read before bed, pick up Samantha and head to bed. Wake up several times a night to nurse Samantha.
That's quite the day. Not a single bon-bon all day! LOL. Although I do try to get a nap on the couch every day, not that I'm always successful. It's a busy life. Not always the most exciting, but there is nowhere else I'd rather be than this.
