It must be universal. Either that, or genetic. My kids LOVE bandaids. It starts when they're about 2, which means Tyler is right in the middle of it. Any fall, scrape or not, requires a bandaid to make it feel better. And of course, not any bandaid will do; there must be characters on it. For Ty it's Spiderman, but I think that's because that's what Lucas likes. Or Dora. He loves Dora (why oh why can't they make Diego bandaids? or at least not pink Dora bandaids?) For Rebekah it was Disney Princesses. Lucas loved Spiderman, as I've mentioned. As Rebekah and Lucas got older, it was easier to explain to them that only BLEEDING cuts need bandaids. But Tyler can't be convinced, and neither could the other kids when they were his age. So he ends up wandering around looking like he took a tumble down a steep hill. What no one knows is that there is no actual cuts underneath those bandages.
And then there is Lucas and Rebekah who have both taken tumbles down steep hills this week. On different days both of them have tripped and wiped out. Both of them scraped both knees, one a lot worse than the other, and one elbow. Lucas even managed to cut his lip in the fall. Poor kids. And of course Tyler, not to be outdone in the bandaid department tripped on the stairs and without injury but insisted on as many bandaids as his siblings. I really ought to by stock in BANDAID brand. LOL.
It's that 'season.' Summertime = shorts = scrapped knees. It makes me want to put them all in pants and long sleeves all summer.
ETA: They really need to invent something that releases the stickiness of bandaids to make them easy to take off. I'm tempted to get out my Undu...
LOL @ Undu. :) And yep, they make bandaids TOO much fun for kids! Noah loves looking for scrapes or knicks just to put one on.
Have a great weekend and take care of that toe!

Hi Sheila--Just read your post about your toe! Yow! Thought I'd stop by and say hi! All you said yesterday !?) about co-sleeping was so interesting. With my first I was the *Rigid scheduled Mom* and by the time number 6 came we were co-sleeping, nursing til 18 mos...so funny how you evolve and change as a Mom! But I had to put number 6 into her crib at about 4 months because I always slept on the same side and my shoulder started to ache constantly...now I'm done with babies and my littlest is 8!!! Wow--what memories..
Have a wonderful scrapbooking weekend--hope your progressing! (cute photo of Samantha sitting up!)

Your children are absolutely adorable. I look at your "group photo" on the previous entry and it reminds me of growing up - there were four of us. I don't know how my Mom did it! LOL! What a blessing those little ones are and they grow up so fast. It seems like yesterday that my son was taking that first step in the little kitchen of the house we lived in and somehow I blinked... and now he's almost 23! Amazing! Treasure every moment - the good ones and the not so good!
