I got a lovely surprise yesterday when the school told me that Rebekah was going to be awarded Student of the Month for 1st Grade during chapel today. It was really hard not telling Rebekah, as we kept it a surprise until today. She walked into chapel this morning, and there were Daddy, Tyler, Samantha & I. I heard whispers from kids as they came in the room, "student of the month." Hee-hee. I'm sure she knew then. When the headmaster called her name, Rebekah was beaming. I am so proud of her. Her teacher said that she had been waiting all year to name Rebekah, saving the best for last, because she said that she is such a sweet, thoughtful little girl. She said that in class she always includes everyone and never hesitates to help someone out when they ask. She said she is a hard worker & just a wonderful student. Is that music to a mother's ears or what?
Awwwww, so exciting!! congrats!!

What a blessing! There are some things you just can't teach in school, so you and Joel should be encouraged to know that you've played a part in the development of Rebekah's sweet and hard-working character!
Love your new banner. :)
