I started getting my nails done about two years ago. It was then that it hit me that I was never going to have long lovely nails without some kind of professional help. After seeing samples of what they could do with acrylic and glitter from a few of my friends, I dove right in. As I'm a colorful, creative person to my core, the fun and variety appeal to me. Yes, it does cost me money, but I do tend stretch my fills from the recommended two weeks to three or every so often four weeks. Honestly, it's like getting a tattoo -- which I have never been able to commit to -- that I can change by my mood every few weeks, only it's not permanent... or on my skin... and involves glitter. That, and for the first time in my life I have long lovely nails.
